Professionally, I am a Chartered Professional Accountant/Certified Management Accountant.  I joined the Canadian Kennel Club in 2011.  In 2012, I was appointed to the Canadian Kennel Club Audit Committee. 
 

I have 19 years of experience in project management and have managed and motivated an interdisciplinary team of business analysts, web developers, systems coordinators, reporting analysts and a web master. 

Dogs have always been a big part of my life, I grew up with them and they became my passion as an adult.  I have always cherished the dream of being a breeder, and in 2009, I welcomed my first Berger Picards, a lovely rare French herding breed.

The IT4You Team are travelling to a number of events this month in order to get your input on how we can improve service to our members.

Over the past several weeks we’ve been reaching out to members to gain valuable insights into what we’re doing right and what we can improve at the Canadian Kennel Club.

Quite often there is cynicism surrounding IT projects and there is a reason for that. Although technology has evolved over decades and now enables us to do so many things efficiently, we sometimes lose sight of what it’s there for in the first place. Technology is a tool to serve people - not the other way around.

One does not simply decide to make an overarching change to the systems of a 125 year old company like the Canadian Kennel Club and expect it to happen quickly or without a little bit of anxiety.
