Volunteer at Meet the Breeds – Share the Joy of Purebred Dogs!


The Canadian Kennel Club is excited to support “Meet the Breeds” events this year hosted by the Canadian Pet Expo and the All About Pets Show to celebrate purebred dogs! These events will help others discover the unique qualities that make each breed special. We’re encouraging clubs or groups of CKC members to volunteer with your dogs at a Meet the Breeds event near you! 


Upcoming opportunities this spring and summer in Southern Ontario: 
  • June 14 – 15, 2025: All About Pets Show, Port Credit Memorial Park, 40 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga, ON  
  • September 13 – 14, 2025: Canadian Pet Expo, International Centre, 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, ON 

If you’re interested in bringing your dogs to one of these exciting events, please contact Canadian Pet Expo representative and CKC Member Ian Lynch at [email protected]. 

This year’s first Meet the Breeds event is taking place as a part of The Spring Canadian Pet Expo which is happening from April 18 to 20, 2025, at the International Centre in Mississauga. This event is fully booked with 40+ breeds in attendance! If your club or group is not participating in the event, we encourage you to attend to support your fellow CKC members and to see how a Meet the Breeds event works. The Canadian Pet Expo has offered a promotional code to save CKC members $3 off general admission!

If you don’t live in the region, we encourage your club to throw a Meet the Breeds event in your area! It’s a wonderful way to educate and celebrate our fantastic purebred dogs.
