The Owner Handler standings are strictly reserved for dogs handled solely by their non-professional owner of record throughout the entire show year.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Exclusive handling by owner: The dog must be handled exclusively by the owner(s) listed as the CKC owner of record. Friends, family members, or other individuals who are not listed as owner(s) of record are not permitted to handle the dog for the purposes of this series.
2. Ineligibility of professional handlers: The dog is ineligible for the Owner Handler standings if it is handled by a professional handler, or by anyone who has received any form of compensation (including cash, goods, or services), for handling the dog.
3. Declaration of eligibility: By entering the Owner Handler standings, you are confirming that you are a CKC owner of record and that your dog will be handled by the owner(s) of record for the entire year. Additionally, you declare that you have never received compensation (in any form) for handling any dog.
4. Notification of ineligibility: If, at any point during the year, your dog becomes ineligible for the Owner Handler standings (for example, if handled by someone other than the owner of record or a professional handler), you are required to immediately deselect the "Owner Handler" checkbox on your dog’s Canuck Dogs account to remove the dog from the standings.
By participating in the Owner Handler standings, you agree to abide by these conditions and confirm the eligibility of your dog for the entire year.
