CKC Welcomes Updog Challenge Title Recognition Program


As a reminder effective January 1, 2025, CKC will be recognizing titles from the Updog Challenge Program.

Updog combines the elements of dog sports and human disc earned with accomplishments. There are many different games that the team may choose to play, some involving movement and others are stationary, therefore open to handlers with limited mobility and those with athleticism. The CKC is thrilled to adopt this Title Recognition Program beginning January 1, 2025. In addition, any titles earned from Updog Challenge prior to this initial launch date will be eligible for a CKC Title Recognition as well. The CKC Office will be accepting applications on or after January 1, 2025.

To earn a CKC Title through this program, the team must earn 2 or 3 titles within each group. For example, for Crossover Bronze Beginner one must earn 2 UPS Bronze Beginner titles from the Crossover Category of games offered to earn the Cross Bronze Beginner (CBB). To earn a Throwing Gold Advanced (TGA) one must earn 3 UPS titles from the Throwing Category at the Advanced Level.

For your dog to obtain a CKC Title and Certificate, your dog must have the following:
A CKC Registration Number, a Performance Event Number, a Canine Companion Number, a Miscellaneous Certification Number or an Event Registration Number. In addition, a completed Updog Challenge Title Application Form https://www.ckc.ca/en/Files/Forms/Shows-Trials/Exhibitors/Updog-Title-Application-Form-No-150-00-56 and the fee listed on the Schedule of Fees plus applicable tax must be provided to CKC.
