An Update on CKC’s New Online Portal

Over the weekend we officially launched CKC’s new online Portal. We’ve received lots of feedback from our members, with over 1,400 profiles successfully created! As with most new online platforms, there are a few bugs that we are working on fixing. In particular as many members have noticed, due to the technical limitations of our previous IT system, some member information was not seamlessly integrated into the new system. While all of the data transferred into our new system, it may not have automatically or correctly connected to your new unique member account. Here are a few tips and reminders to help you with your first experience on the portal:
 
  • Before you can log in to CKC’s online portal, you must create an account. Follow this link to get started. 
  • If you’ve submitted an application or registration document recently, CKC staff may have already created an account for you. If you receive a message that you already have an account, try resetting your password by clicking on Forgotten Password at the bottom of the Log In page. 
  • When you set up your online portal account, do not include any zeros if they are at the beginning of your membership number. 
  • If you have difficulty logging on or setting up a portal account, visit our website for helpful instructions 
  • After setting up your portal account, take a look at your My Dogs listing and if your list of owned and co-owned dogs is incomplete, use this form to notify staff and have the dog(s) added to your list.
  • We aware in some cases that there is an issue with dog and member birthdates being incorrect. We have identified the system issue and are in the process of implementing a system wide fix for this issue. 
  • The online portal is “view only” at this stage with new features to be added over the coming days/weeks, including online renewals, points and events results, litter and dog registrations and more.
