CKC to Showcase Rare Breeds at 2016 Woofstock Festival - May 28 & 29

Bring your family and friends and join us at Woodbine Park in the Toronto Beaches for a tail-wagging weekend at Woofstock—the largest outdoor festival for dogs in North America.

CKC Rare Breeds Presentation
This year, CKC will be showcasing some of our rarer breeds – including the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, CKC-RareBreedsCollage_2016.jpgXoloitxcuintli, Barbet, Schapendoes, Canadian Eskimo Dog, Red & White Setter and Toy Fox Terrier, plus less well-known breeds such as the Leonberger, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and Smooth Collie.

The CKC Rare Breeds Presentation takes place at 11:30 AM each day on the Main Stage. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the breeds and their breeders at the CKC booth following the presentation.

The Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of Canada will also be holding an Student Art Competition in Woofstock’s new Children’s Activity Village to promote this vulnerable breed. View contest details here.

Canine Good Neighbour Testing
Be sure to sign your dog up for a Canine Good Neighbour test. All dogs that pass the test earn an Official CGN Certificate. Seasoned, CKC Canine Good Neighbour Evaluator, Naomi Kane will be on hand to run CGN tests on all weekend long. Simply sign up at the CKC booth. Tests are $20 per dog (includes certificate and title).

Free CKC Dog Jackets!
CKC will be giving away CKC dog jackets (suitable for 8 lb. – 11 lb. dogs) all weekend long, while quantities last.

Free Admission!
The event runs on May 28 and 29, 2016 from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Free Shuttle!
There is a free shuttle in the downtown area to Woofstock. See details here.
NOTE: Dogs are allowed on the shuttle.

There is also a parking lot located at 242 Cherry Street, just around the corner from the festival where you can park and take the Woofstock Wheels Shuttle.
