From dog and cat competitions and exotic bird displays to goat agility and horse demos, there was something for everyone at the All About Pets Show in Mississauga, ON., April 18th - 20th 2014.
It was an animal extravaganza and CKC was thrilled to be a part of the wonderful World of Dogs area that drew dog lovers from all over. We were thrilled by the positive, public interaction with our Canadian indigenous Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retreivers at the CKC booth, who took in all the praise and petting that passers-by had to offer. Our Toller breeders were also on hand to answer any questions and impressed a good number of attendees with their passion and deep knowledge of the breed.
There was incredible enthusiasm for the CKC-branded dog-friendly educational guides and a fantastic response to the dog training book giveaway promoted in the show’s catalogue. There was also some great interest in the Canine Companion Program from owners of mixed breeds looking to enter their dogs into some fun performance events.
It just wouldn’t have been the same without our dedicated volunteers, including Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever breeders: John Hobden, Lynda Hixson, Barb Davidson and Angela Sokol, along with our CKC staff. Thanks for helping to promote purebred dogs, the CKC and responsible dog ownership and hope to see you all at the next show!
