A highlight of the year was the Cal K9 Club trial in Calgary, where Tuck and his handler, Gary Overs, competed alongside some of Canada’s best teams. “The camaraderie and sportsmanship were inspiring,” Gary shared, reflecting the dedication and passion that defined their journey.
Tuck’s accomplishments reflect not only his exceptional training but also the traits that make Golden Retrievers such cherished companions. Selected from strong working lines, Tuck’s happy disposition, energy, and eagerness to perform have made him a standout in Obedience, Agility, and fieldwork. This year, he earned several prestigious titles, including Obedience Trial Champion Excellence, Master Obedience Trial Champion, and Grand Master Obedience Trial Champion, with multiple High in Trials and even a perfect score in Utility B. His versatility extends to the field, where he holds the titles of Grand Master Hunter and National Master Hunter.
Their journey wasn’t without challenges, including extensive travel and training hurdles, but perseverance and support from mentors, breeders, and family made it possible. “Making Top Dogs is a dream come true,” Gary shared. The CKC is proud to honour this exceptional team’s dedication and passion. Congratulations, Tuck and team!
