CKC Introduces New Iconic Breeder Conformation Judge Program


The Canadian Kennel Club is pleased to announce a new Iconic Breeder Conformation Judge program.

The program is intended to allow CKC member breeders the opportunity to obtain a judge licence for 1 breed for which they are considered “iconic” in breeding and showing. 

A breed that they have been breeding for a minimum of 25 years and for which they can meet the requirements as set in policy with regard to breeding, showing, awards, champions and much more. Please review the policy in this regard in the Policy & Procedures Manual, Chapter VII, Judges, Section C, Applicant Iconic Breeder Conformation Judge Licencing Program for all of the eligibility requirements and approval process.

This is for 1 breed only and successful applicants cannot progress from this program to judge further breeds.

Iconic Breeder Conformation Judges must be CKC members and must adhere to the same Code of Ethics for Judges as all other licenced judges.

The Application For Iconic Breeder Conformation Judge can be found on the website under Events> Event Forms>Judges.

This new program is effective July 1, 2025.

The fee to apply to become an Iconic Breeder Conformation Judge is $100.00 plus tax.
