It is with gratitude that the Membership of the Canadian Kennel Club extends a note of appreciation to members of the Board of Directors that have served our organization diligently and with acumen over their term of office. Offering one’s time and talents as a volunteer with any organization is commendable and acting as a Director for the CKC consumes huge amounts of time at the National level over and above serving as a busy contact person in the field.
The expectation placed upon a Director by members within the zone is incredibly high and the rewards are often unseen; weekends are sacrificed; personal commitments beyond CKC are frequently set aside; and the pressures of the position to fairly represent local members and clubs while balancing national interests can be straining.
It seems, however, that our CKC Directors continue to push through and steward our organization with fairness, insight, and vision, but most of all, with passion—passion for our sport our dogs and our Club.
We recognize the following individuals for their service and dedication to the Canadian Kennel Club as members of the Board of Directors.
Retiring from the Board at the end of the 2009-2011 term of office was: Brian Taylor, Ontario Central, Richard Paquette, Ontario North, Kim Hamel, Manitoba, John Werle, Saskatchewan, James Malcolm Campbell, British Columbia Interior and Yukon and Margaret S. Jones British Columbia South West. In remembrance of Anita Cairns who served from 2003 until her passing in 2011.
We thank you all.
