Dogs in Canada, a property of the Canadian Kennel Club, invites you to visit the new Dogs in Canada blog - the most recent addition to the popular Dogs in Canada brand. The Dog Blog is informal, informative and easy to use and can be accessed via www.dogsincanada.com. The creation of the Dogs in Canada blog is part of a revitalization strategy committed to by the CKC Board of Directors at the 2012 AGM - to build upon the strength and integrity of the Dogs in Canada brand in an online capacity and best meet the needs of our members. The CKC Board clearly recognizes the importance and value of the Dogs in Canada printed publications and blogsite for our member breeders. The Board feels that The Dogs in Canada blogsite is a very valuable and potent tool and an online presence is regarded as highly important for connecting with our membership.
As such, we are pleased to present the new Dogs in Canada blog! From The Dog Blog to Top Dogs, there is something for everyone:
The Dog Blog The Dogs in Canada Dog Blog features a variety of topical, dog-centric postings and the opportunity for you to provide feedback and maintain an open dialogue. So, be sure to check out The Dog Blog for regular posts on what's happening in the dog world. Top Dog Awards Following in a 49-year-old Dogs in Canada tradition of providing annual top canine competition results, the Dog Blog features the greatly anticipated Top Dog Awards. Currently available are the "unofficial" Conformation results, followed by Obedience in the next two weeks; then Agility - with Field results, including Top Retrievers, Top Pointing and Top Lure Coursers available before the end of summer.
This year, the early posting of "unofficial" results allows for a final check by the contenders and is available publicly for a 30-day period before the "official results" are confirmed and awards sent out. If there are any discrepancies in our "unofficial results", please register your concerns, along with supporting documentation via topdogs@ckc.ca. Breeder Listings Breeders who are currently listed in the 2012 Dogs Annual will be pleased to know that the Dogs in Canada blog includes all 2012 Dogs Annual Breeder Listings - which will be accessible for the remainder of the year.
